2010 Trip: Konstanz Day 4
30th May 2010
Today, as expected, it rained. For most of the day, we stayed inside and just relaxed. We had baked Camembert for lunch, with crusty half baked bread. It was delicious! You can actually buy cheese specifically packaged for the purpose of baking - I thought that was awesome!
In the afternoon, the weather had improved sufficiently to head out to a cafe for some afternoon tea, I had a delicious mandarin cheese cake. In the evening, I helped Lukas make pizza (with yet more cheese - there is a slight theme here), and we sat down to watch a classic German TV show, running for many years, Tatort.
Every week a different city in Germany produces a crime scene/detective drama. They tend to have plots reminiscent of CSI, though often darker, some approaching a horror or a thriller. Lukas kindly translated the salient spoken points. They also last two hours with no ads, so the plots lines can be much further developed than traditional American dramas. By this time, I was sleepy, so I went to bed.
